The boys are traveling to Ohio tonight to pick up a four-wheeler that Adam is buying from a friend.

Checking the truck's tires:

Joel: Look at that, Adam.
Adam: Aah, we can change the tire if we have a flat.
Joel: Do you remember how hard it is to get the spare off?
Adam: We could get it off quick! Bolt cutters!
Practical as usual-
Joel: I don't have bolt cutters.

Adam was in a hurry to get going but Joel, being his normal self, saw no need to rush...

Finally on their way and only an hour after they wanted to leave. Not too bad for a Sickler!

P.S. the weed-patch in the background is not just a spot in our yard we like to mow around, it's our garden. :)
The kitties are getting big now and are turning into real fierce little cats.
The kitty above is actually the friendliest and most tolerant of them all. It eats the most, fights the hardest, is the skinniest (that's not saying much though, they're all fat little fur-balls) and sleeps the soundest. The kitten below is a rather fat, lazy, and boring little kitten. Her main concern is making sure her sisters don't eat her tail off.
Now this kitten...uh...is a kitten! How profound. It's the balance of the three. It's kinda fat but it is lively enough to be fun to tease.

Welcome Night

Tonight everyone but Daddy went to Welcome Night at Penn View. It was out in front of the dining hall this year but because we went thinking it was in the tabernacle, we didn't take any chairs and therefore had to sit on the ground. During the service I learned something about Penn View; the grass (or weeds) that they grow on that hill are very, VERY, hard to sit on for an hour! I guess I shouldn't complain. Mommy sat on the ground too and she didn't complain. She's almost 51 too! She will be so happy that I told you that. Anyways..... David Wise told his life story (it was very interesting, you all should have been there), and of course we heard the Praise Singers Quartet. After the service there was a bonfire and a volleyball tournament. I enjoyed a hot dog and all the things that go along with them and bonfires: toasted eyebrows, a face that feels like shoe leather, etc.. I played volleyball on a, well, not-so-great-but-not-that-bad team. On our last game we only had five players but I was able to get Joel to come help us (very difficult to do when a certain someone is around :).
Well, it's getting late, or maybe it's early, but either way it's past my bedtime and time to say Good Night (or Morning ,whichever you prefer).

Well, I'm Back!

After a tiring week in the camp kitchen (at least most of the time) I am back home and on my way to being fully recuperated. I guess it's my fault if I'm not, but why are books always the most interesting at 11:00 p.m.? - Angela
P.S. Sorry the blog died while I was gone.
